Re-read the chapter where Erwin loses his arm. The titan that grabbed him doesn’t actually bite through his arm, he only carried him away. When Erwin reappears, the wound where his arm was is very straight and clean cut, not at all the ragged, torn injury that a bite would probably result in.
Erwin most likely cut his own arm off to free himself and if you don’t think that makes him one of the most hardcore motherfuckers in snk then you can get outta my face.
