one of the most comforting things i have ever heard as an artist is that as soon as you put your pencil to paper, what comes from your hand is always going to be yours. it’s easy to beat yourself up about not being good enough, feeling unoriginal or that you believe you’re not as talented as someone else, but as soon as you start drawing and that natural instinct comes out and you begin creating, your art becomes an honest extension of yourself. it’s not about having the best lineart, best anatomy, best ideas, but instead creating something genuine, and that’s something to be truly admired.
