I had been hearing mixed things for this year’s con, but this really pissed me off (I was verbally expressing my disgust as she described her experience). I have a number of issues with Momocon, especially with its constantly moving, and this really put me off.
me too! i wish i could say ‘i can’t believe it!’ but i’ve seen a lot of things on that level, namely the pretense of smoothing over someone’s concerns and putting on the front of caring and trying to rectify the situation when in actuality they’re just trying to save social media face while trash-talking the person as a “drama starter” or complainer. If you’re not truly trying to make your con a safer place for cosplayers and young women you really should be shut down… just saying. And yeah, that still just kind of scratches the surface.
